RentSync Privacy Policy

RentSync is a rental management app provided by KligTech for property owners, tenants and administrators. This policy explains what information RentSync collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
Information We Collect
Account and profile details, such as your name, mobile number, verified email address, role, account status and app PIN security state. Email verification, passwordless sign-in and security changes are managed using Supabase authentication services and secure One-Time Passwords (OTPs).
Rental management data entered in the app, including apartments, flats, tenancies, rent dues, deposits, utility bills, expenses, notices, payment records and payment approval requests.
Documents that users choose to upload, such as rent agreements or identity-related tenancy documents. These files are stored privately in cloud storage and accessed via secure, time-limited download links.
Contacts permission is used only when an owner chooses to pick a tenant mobile number from the device contacts. RentSync does not upload the full address book.
Notification data, such as push notification tokens and in-app notification records, may be used to deliver account, rent, notice and administrative updates.
Security, hardware, and operational data, such as secure session data, app version, platform, request timing, error details and audit logs needed to protect and operate the service. Optional biometric unlock (fingerprint or face ID), when enabled, is handled entirely by the device's native local authentication hardware; RentSync does not collect, store, or transmit your biometric templates, data, or hashes.
Service providers and SDKs may process limited operational data to provide authentication, cloud database, private document storage, email delivery, push notifications, diagnostics and hosting.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide owner, tenant and administrator workflows, calculate and display rent and utility records, manage documents, send notices and reminders, support users, troubleshoot issues and prevent abuse.
RentSync logs manual/offline rent and payment ledger information entered by users. The app does not process payments through an in-app payment gateway and does not collect or store bank account numbers or credit card details.
RentSync currently sends transactional account, security, rent, notice and support communications only. Promotional or marketing email should be sent only with explicit opt-in consent and a clear unsubscribe option.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers that help operate RentSync, such as cloud database and authentication providers (Supabase), secure document storage hosts, email delivery systems, or push notification networks (Expo). These providers are used only as needed to provide, support and secure the service under strict confidentiality constraints.
Users may choose to open external apps or services such as email, phone dialer or WhatsApp. Those services handle information under their own policies.
User Choices & Consent Withdrawal
Users can choose whether to grant contacts and notification permissions. These permissions can also be changed in the device settings at any time.
Users can request access, correction, deletion, or erasure of their personal information by contacting RentSync support.
Consent Withdrawal: You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. You can withdraw your consent by deleting your account or contacting our Grievance Officer. Note that withdrawing consent does not affect the legality of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Owners can trigger complete, permanent account deletion directly in the app settings via secure email OTP authentication. Performing this account deletion triggers an immediate cascading deletion, which permanently and irreversibly purges all profile details, properties, flats, active or past tenancies, documents, invoices, rent agreements and payment ledger logs from our database and cloud storage servers. Some operational logs may be retained for security or dispute-resolution where required by law.
Retention
We keep information while an account, tenancy, property record or service relationship is active, and for as long as needed for legal, accounting, security, operational or dispute-resolution purposes.
Security
RentSync uses access controls, secure local storage where supported, encrypted transport where supported, private document storage links and server-side safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we continue to improve protections over time.
AI and Automated Content
RentSync does not currently generate tenant-facing or owner-facing content using artificial intelligence. If AI-generated content features are added, RentSync should disclose them clearly and provide appropriate review controls before publication or delivery.
Accessibility
RentSync aims to provide an accessible experience for users with assistive technologies and continues to improve labels, contrast, keyboard or touch navigation, and readable text where supported by the platform.
Children
RentSync is intended for rental management use by property owners, tenants and administrators. It is not directed to persons under 18.
